While at work yesterday, I noticed a couple "large" birds setting on a phone pole. I grabbed the 20D and decided to take a hike. I got within about 70 yards and they decided to take off.
This was my first time attempting a shot like this. I can not believe how difficult it is to get a good shot of these birds!!!! I'm pretty sure the center focus mark only found the bird maybe once
Well, maybe I should say I couldn't keep the focus point on the bird. That would be more accurate

I was told it is a Red Tail Hawk. Can anyone confirm that?
The bird was a little beyond my reach with the 70-200. I'll keep trying for a better shot!
