I love riding my fz-09 as often as I can. I have some small side bags but usually like my backpack so I can get off the bike and take it all with me. right now I just have a really nice tamrac bag that holds a couple flashes, camera, and 3 additional lenses. I would like to find something like a kreiga or icon bag. Something that takes the weight off my shoulder for longer trips. I know it would be easier to just take the car but.... if you ride you know.

Hi

You could have a look at something like this (external link) which you could put you camera bag into. They normally come with 4 point attachments, so you could then just take camera bag out and go once at destination, just leaving the empty tailbag on bike.

I don't use one myself, as I have 3 boxes on the Pan European, and if I'm on the Fireblade I just take my point and shoot. But guys I ride with use these type of tailbags for all sorts of things and seem to like them.

Its one option anyway.

I have a small lowepro backpack that I wear when I carry my gear with me (on the FZ1), but now w/ an FJR I just put my cam bag in a side bag.

Unless you have something with good padding, I would stick with a backpack arrangement to avoid vibration damage.

I did try a cotton carrier for a while to keep a camera handy, but the rig didn't stay secure over time.

If I'm taking my photo gear (more than just a camera and lens) I take my Harley EG, having 3 bags is nice for the gear.

I'd be careful with any type of backpack. I would definitely not want to go down wearing a backpack.

I've been looking into a pelican top box for my bike.
