Within two weeks I travel to Kuala lumpur. I booked a hotel for the whole stay in Kuala Lumpur.

When you have some useful tips. Please share them ;-)a
- public transport
- transport from airport to the city
- do and dont's
- nice places to take photos (street photography)

What are some nice day trips of 2 or 3 day trips from Kuala Lumpur.

All ready know what gear to bring and how to use it. Advice on gear or photo sharing is not necessary ;-)a
I bring the Fujifilm X T1 and Pro1 and my 3 favorite lenses 18-55 f/2.8-4 , 35 f/1.4 and 56 f/1.2. Small tripod and Lee filters. The 5D3 etc will stay at home...

Many thanks for your help

Agree - Skybus from the airport to the city.

The monorail is a great way to get around the city - cheap, fast & reliable!

Try to get down to Singapore and maybe across to the island of Penang, both great places, don't miss the hustle of the street markets, I felt totally safe in Malaysia and was very comfortable everywhere, nice place, enjoy.

The Hop-on Hop-off Bus will get you to most attractions around the city. Cheap and efficient.

Kuala Lumpur has some of the best street food in SE Asia. Areas where street food is available are also great places for street candids. Kinda like eat and shoot.

I agree with the previous poster. Penang, wonderful place. Great beaches and food. If there be sure to check out the night markets at Batu Ferringhi.

Every one thanks for the information. Sorry I did not respont last few weeks.

We did take the Klia train and then the metro to the hotel. It worked but for almost the same price we could take the taxi. This is what we did when traveling back to NL. I would advise the a taxi.

I did a day trip to Singapore with the train. But other day trips I had to cancel. Unfortanaly I had some shoulder problems.

We bought a Metro card that we can recharge. This was really easy in use. I was happy that I could speak some Indonesian in KL. So it was easy to get around.

Hop on hop off I did not do. We did everything with public transport an taxi and we walked a lot.
