I've learned so much from POTN about photography - is there an equivalent out there for video / DSLR video?

Something beyond this little sub forum, of course :)

Cinema5d is pretty good for advice on video and to see great examples of short films made on DSLR's. There are also tons of tutorial sites out there like creative cow, which is mostly for editing, or still motion's vimeo page which focuses on the process of filmmaking.

Thank you guys - I think I'll be spending a lot of time next week on those!

My go-to forums for HDSLR:
- DVInfo - probably the most extensive forum for HDSLR out there
- Planet5d
- Cinema5D
- DVXUser

Nothing personal, but I've found that all of the above forums are orders of magnitude more informative and accurate than the POTN video forum. On POTN, there is a decided stills photographer bias that often results in bad advice and misinformation, imo. Not so of the forums above.

The other suggestions are good. I would visit CreativeCow, too. Most of the video DSLR shooters cluster in forums by brand. DVX User is the way to go if you're on a Panasonic DSLR, DVInfo for Nikon, and the 5D forums for Canon. I bet Sony has one too, but I don't know it.

Thank you! This is all super helpful - I've been kinda muddling along on my own, doing this for side projects and fun - learning from others like this is always helpful!
