Tamron 17-50 loose?

had this lens a while
never noticed this play in the front of the lens.
Should I be concerned? Send it in? 5 ish years old

No need to send it in. It is a 5 min. fix. Had to fix mine once. Good as new after.

Yeah, no need to send it in. Follow the video and fix it yourself. That's what I did with mine and hasn't come loose since.

thanks guys.
fixed it today.
took me about 10 minutes just because I was chicken pulling off the decorative ring part.

Fixed it. wondering if there would have been any harm in removing the screws completely and coating them with loctite before putting them back in? I was afraid to take it apart any further and somehow get it out of focus or calibration.

Yes, no one will be able to clean (internal dust) if they can't remove the screws.
