I have heard both good and bad things about the ease of use for MF on this lens. Hope to hear from those who actually use this lens and MF.

The MF ring is large enough to find easily, way forward, well damped, smooth as silk and MFD to infinity is about 120 degrees. I upgraded from the old 35 2, which possessed none of these qualities. $549 well-spent, IMO.

Not as nice as my 400 or my Sigma macro (which is understandable), but good enough for the occasional MF use. It's MFD is pretty impressive so MF will have its uses.
