I'm on the hunt for a new lens. Currently i have a few lenses and wanted to reduce to 2 ideally.... I'm wondering if there is such thing as a CHEAP 18-100 lens?

18-55
50 f1/8
70-300
100-400

I would like to keep my 100-400 and get rid of the 18-55 and the 70-300 and use the money to buy the 18-100 (or whatever) hense wanting cheap! lol is there any advice out therE?

I know nowt about it but I'd have suggested maybe the 18-135mm too.

Check on LCE or MPB for anything used.

Yes.

The non-stabilized Tamron 18-200mm (external link) lens is one of the least expensive useful new lenses on the market. One of those lenses produced these images.

This Tamron lens and its low price offer an advantage for those people who live in a world where people do not purchase for you the supposedly superior and expensive equipment they want you to buy.

The Tamron 18-200mm lens may be a lightweight unit, but its low price leaves additional weight in your wallet from the money you do not spend.

Just for future reference, there is a sticky in the lens forum with a table of all available lenses for Canon cameras. It's a very handy reference.

I was also going to suggest the 18-135, as something inexpensive and close to the 18-100 range you were looking for.
