WV AAA State Basketball Championship Tournament

I was lucky enough to be invited to this year's WV State Basketball Tournament at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, WV. I've covered Washington High School all season. The Patriots entered the tournament undefeated at 24-0 and were seeded #1. They played Wednesday night against Morgantown and won easily 81-61. Friday evening they played a much better team from Huntington and were upset 66-57. They shot very poorly that night, going 2-21 from behind the 3 point arc. Huntington went on to win the AAA state championship, defeating Hurricane by one point. First time for me shooting in a semi-large arena and was really excited for the opportunity. Yup, 5 for me too. But overall, very nice work. And I agree, it is a lot of fun shooting in a real stadium/arena.

That kid is listed at 6 foot tall but is able to dunk with ease.
