It is unfortunate, because it doen't look like there is much that could have been done about it, but the tonal mergers between the subject and the surroundings are very detrimental. I think that problem has been exacerbated by the slight underexposure. You will notice that with the exception of his upper surfaces, the rest of the body - even the wings, are too dark. Bob
