Here's a series I shot from my daughter's game this weekend. They won a tough game 11-10 on the road.

These were shot with a 60D / EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM combo on "M"

It is hard for me not to comment on girls/women's lacrosse as I photographed it for 8-years.

You have one series of shots. The first two images have too many players in the shot which are not part of the "action"

The third shot the players are not engaged and a tad far apart.

The last two are your best but you clipped their feet off. My suggestions for next time is sit not stand when shooting and don't be afraid to shoot in portrait.

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Thanks for the feedback. I still have a long way to go, but feel like I'm getting a little better with each game.

Where do you sit generally for shots on the offensive and defensive side?

Offense:

99% of the time you want to be low and see their face. Often on the corners, often even with the goal. If you can, angled off the back of the goal.

Defense:

20 yards from the GK. I frequently shoot 50% offense and 50% defense.
