70D question about auto ISO

whats the auto ISO setting go up to? does it cap at 6400 or does it go to 12,800?

7D after FW2.x allowed 6400 as it's highest. Same as 60D. This was my BIG thing about the 6D.

Yes, maximum limit for AUTO ISO is 12800.

IF the auto ISO does go to 12,800 then you know what I am thinking.

Silent shutter, min shutter speed, and a few other perks ya know.

6D/70D = 5D3

AND if the 70D doesn't have that stupid LAG on the shutter then I might be sold.

And 12800 on 70D is like 51200 on 6D.....

Sure you are going to be happy with that...

Noise aside, the 70D is nothing like 5D3...

I'm not worried about noise. Believe me I'm WELL aware of the noise difference.

But from a cost perspective whats cheaper for daytime sports/nighttime low light

5D3 only and a 70-200 w/ 300mm 2.8 Capable lens

6D/70D with only a 70-200

Much cheaper. 70D does daytime and 6D does night time.

no, you won't feel any lag on the 70D, it's pretty snappy

You are going backwards.....again...​.

Think how your photos compare between your old 7D vs 6D even at lowish ISO...

It isn't just about noise performance but sharpness, DR, ability to capture fine details, shadow recovery ability etc...

Yea, i wouldn´t buy 70D either ... it´s like oversized compact camera with dull touch-sensitive screen, which barely can handle 200ISO
