So I have wanted a new set up for a while now. I really like the 70d over the 6d. I have rented both. I shoot everything. Portrait landscapes a few weddings. I had my mind set on a sigma 18-35 1.8 and a 50-150 2.8 but now I read the 50-150 is discontinued. I'm about six weeks away from buying. What is a good two lens set up for crop ? I will have $3k to spend
Thanks

Buy this for $1999 and spend the rest on lighting, memory cards, camera strap, new bag, etc.

Heya,

If you prefer the 70D, and you want portrait/landscape/event:

Tamron 24-70 F2.8 VC
Canon EF-S 10-22mm
Sigma 85mm F1.4

Could be an option.

Very best,

What is your current gear and what do you like and dislike about what you have, what's holding you back? It looks like you may be a zoom person from the two lenses you wish to purchase.

70D & Sigma 18-35/1.8 sounds a very nice option to me personally. I know nowt about it but when was the 50-150mm discontinued?? You may still be able to pick one up somewhere if it wasn't too long ago.... The other option may be a 70-200 f/2.8 lens be it Canon, Tamron, Sigma if you'd prefer a zoom to a 135L for example.

In recent weeks apparently but without an official statement from what I have seen. https://photography-on-the.net …read.php?t=1360193&page=2

Kind of annoying as I am saving up to purchase one as well but want to purchase with warranty from an authorized retailer and am worried that by the time I save up this may no longer be an option.

To the OP - if you are doing weddings for money I would suggest the 6D just because of how nice the high ISO shots appear and because lighting can be tricky in those instances. It does much better than the 70D in those respects. For most everything else the 70D would be great, I own it and love it!
