I have shot some photos of my son playing soccer and wanted to get some prints to frame. I have a canon s820 and am using kodak soft gloss paper. I shot the picture in raw and the camera set at srgb. I used ps7 to pp, and set everything I could think of to srgb. The picture looks good on my dell monitor, but dull/unsaturated when printed. I have tried to find icc info for the printer, but it seems to be unsupported. If anyone has an idea as to where I am going wrong, your help would be appreciated.

Could be your monitor needs calibrating. Also if you have'nt tried this already try using canon's photo paper and see if it helps. Look here for the right setting for your Kodak paper http://www.kodak.com …ale=en_US&_requestid=1745 (external link)

If you don't mind you might post one for others to look at and see how the image looks on other monitors. Dennis

Thanks for the replies. I will post the picture this evening. It will be interesting to see how other monitors display the picture.

Here is the shot that looks dull when printed on the s820, yet vibrant on my monitor. Would be great to here from anyone as to whether it looks dull or bright.

I don't see an attachment or link. If you're trying to attach, your picture must be no longer than 800 pixels in the longer direction, and no more than 100KBytes.

Try printing with Canon paper and see if you get the same results. Could just be the paper. Also, try this article, it might help.http://www.steves-digicams.com/techcorner/June_2005.html (external link)

The Manage Attachments window will show when you've successfully uploaded your image. The chances are that the file size is too large.

Hi Sheldon. Thanks for the reply. The image I am trying to post is a jpg, 300x240, with a shown size of 94.6kb. I compose the post, pull down the "manage posts" window, identify the image and upload. It seems to upload with the blue status bar filling completely, and then I click the submit reply button. Yet no image is attaching. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
