After getting destroyed the night before by the same team, rebounded for a SO win.

Took a few different shots tonight. Had a few friends sitting two rows behind the net so I sat down there for a bit with the 300 and a 135L 2.0.

These next two were behind the net with the 300:

And here's the glass I get to deal with, which I why I don't shoot down low often:

The main problem with shooting on the glass from anywhere farther than a foot away is the AF has a real hard time locking on and will front/back focus. I took about 40 shots down there and had maybe 4 keepers, while most were OOF. While #3 looks OK, on #4 I was focusing on his right eye, and you can see the lower part of his mask is where the focus hit. Oh well, have to experiment to learn!

As always, C&C is welcomed and encouraged. Thanks for looking!

great shots considering the glass you had to shoot through. Do you use the lens hood? What shutter speed do you like to shoot at when covering hockey? I'm usually at 1/800-1000 but I've been trying 1/500 lately with some success.
