For some time I have used FlickR to upload high resolution images to this forum. You found the BBCode and copied that into your posting, and voila, good image.
Now FlickR have changed everything, and I cannot find a BBCode for images.
Is there any other way to use BBCode for uploading images onto this forum?

Hi, Margaret. Click on the box with the arrow then click on the pin. But your photos have to be public to get the bb code.

I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.

This.

It was frustrating for me too until I figured it out.

Is there any way to display a photo that isn't public? Always used to be able to. I often want to post photos that I don't want to appear in my photostream...

Flickr seems to get worse and worse....

I use flickr and 500px for all my public photos, but for stuff that I don't really want to display (set ups, screengrabs, etc.) I use a private photobucket account.

If there is an absolute url to the image then simply use the [IMG] tag in your post but keep in mind that there are image size limits here.
Also, if the image is stored on a database instead of an actual jpg in a directory then it may not work (depends on permissions)
example:
[IMG]absolute url of the image
place the following between the [IMG] tags and it will display the image below

absolute url -> http://www.tbstewartphotography.com …221195841-db61a9b5-me.jpg (external link)

[IMG]http://www.tbstewartphotography.com …221195841-db61a9b5-me.jpg (external link)

Hope that helps you

If you change language to anything other than English, you still get the old Flickr, at least for now. Complete with private BBCode.

Also, I use an app on the iPad (Flickr Studio) that lets me copy BBCode
.

Hi Jack,
I took umbrage at FlickR's disregard for their clients, ripped some 300 images off the site and then discovered none of the forums they were linked to were working any more, so I have just finished restoring them all, and re-inserting links into the forums because each one that went back was given a new ID. Not a good idea. Look's as though I am stuck with FlickR.

Thanks for the info.
I set mine to Italian and have Google chrome translate to English.
