Just wondering if you guys think it's a good idea to send my 6D off to canon for a cleaning before I put it up for sale. I do have a couple small specs in the viewfinder so they should be able to get rid of that and do a sensor cleaning and check anything else.

Is it worth it or not?

BTW My friend is a platinum and offered without me asking so this is why I ask.

Yes- if you have a free clean and check, you should. It will easily increase the price I would be willing to pay for your camera if you sell it with the documentation from Canon saying that camera has been inspected and cleaned.

I send my cameras and lenses in for clean and check before sale as a selling point before listing. If I am buying a camera or lens, I am more apt to by the item if it has recently been checked. Also, in the case of the camera you get a verified shutter count.

So, do they always include a shutter count when they return the camera after a cleaning or do you have to request it? Thinking about selling my 1Ds mkii and was wondering what the shutter count was for those who would ask when I advertise it.
