Received my 6D last week & so far I am loving it! Big step up from my t3i! Last nite I figured I'd try & set up the cameras WiFi & my T-Mobile note 3 through the Canon app&was having a "helluva" time. The app/phone doesn't "see" the camera. I know it's probably me & I'm missing something & I'm pretty good with technical things, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In the camera, you start by setting up the wifi settings. You will create a custom wi-fi connection to your camera and name it anything you want. For example, mine was named "Steve_6D". Once you are done creating the wifi channel, it will generate a passcode for you to use on your phone. Then you enable the wifi on the camera.

Now, go to your phone and to your phone settings menu that allows you to choose different wifi signals for your phone and look for the one you just created. Choose it and then your phone should prompt you for a password. Enter the password that the camera provided you.

Now, launch the EOS app on your phone and have it look for the camera. It should find it and then you can press a button to connect it. From there you should be able to liveview with it and change settings remotely.
