Impending shutter failure?

Just noticed my 1ds3 start to do this at high shutter speeds. There's a bright region near the top of the frame. I'm guessing this means an impending shutter failure but wanted to check and see if anyone else had seen this before.

Does look like a blade isn't making it out of the way, entirely. Same result at all high speeds?

The width of the affected band gets smaller until ~ 1/1600th of a second where it's no longer visible.

At what point is it largest? Higher speeds or slower speeds? Every pre-failing shutter I've seen is worst at higher speeds.

It's not black across the image, just dark, which tells me it's still traveling, just not as quickly as it should. Typically there will be a dramatically dark or even black bar across an image, depending on shot settings.

I'd still assume it's about ready for a trip to the service center.

Yeah, it gets worse with higher shutter speed. Not really noticeable below 1/1600th, but very obvious at 1/8000th as seen above.
