Where's the focal point? Maybe the link is too low of res but the entire thing seems OOF.
I'd like #2 more if the HDR effect was toned down just a bit.
The B&W is the strongest IMO.

Thanks!

Yea it's def a missed focus shot, but all I have to work with. I am gonna re-work these a bit later this afternoon.

Edit: Wanted to add, I did push this further than I normally would in PP because of the softness. It takes on an almost illustrative effect IMO with these adjustments. Not saying that's for the better! Nonetheless, my thought process.

I love old people and the details on their faces. Keep it up!

By pump up do you mean move to the + or - side in Lightroom? I imagine negative to make the blacks a bit more prominent?

Yes, that's one way. Try it and see if you like it. :)

Added some black and sharpness as advised.

Original B&W first:

Tighter crop and more black:

More blacks and more sharpness:

Love it. A bit too much clarity or definition added in my opinion though.

Agreed with Miagi. Just a little too much sharpness in the last image. While I love the character of older folks and their faces, over sharpening does not do them any favors. I would bet this guy is quite a character in real life. His facial expression makes him seem like quite the jokester.

On all edits? I agree on the last one for sure. The others I def bumped the clarity a lot, as focus was missed and I tried something different in post.
