I bought 2 Extreme Pro 8gb SD cards 95mbx633x ,,they seem to work good with my 2 cameras G15 & SX50HS,,but when i try to download to my PC (have 2) it won,t down load either thru PC slots or a 2.o card reader,,won,t down load to my 2 laptops either,,
I need help as what to do,,or what might be wrong,,cards are new/used..

Do your SD readers support SDHC cards? Basic SD only supports 2 GB max.; your 8 GB SDHC cards would be the SDHC, which runs up to 32 GB; beyond that there's another SD "standard", SDXC. They're backward, but not forward, compatible.

It's quite likely that your current card reader is too old to support your newer cards, in which case you do need to get a newer reader.

A new card reader - even a USB 3.0 card reader - will be compatible with your current USB 2.0 ports, but will be limited to the transfer speeds of USB 2.0.
