Okay I hope that this isn't a complete idiotic question, but if I need to get down really low and have my camera mounted upside down on a tripod is there any way to flip the Liveview info, i.e., F/, speed, iso, etc. to read correctly and not remain upside down? I suspect that this can't be done, just a bit annoying.

That is easy, just put Magic Lantern on your camera.

As far as I know, no you cannot do this with the normal settings on a canon.

Peter, thanks for the feedback. I just can't get myself to run ML although there are several features why I'd like to (wider bracketing range for one). Maybe I've read the wrong posts online stating problems with a users body after running ML. I'm just a bit paranoid since this is the only DSLR body I own. Once you've popped your card out has it defaulted back to normal every time?

It took me awhile to get the ML on my camera, same reasons, it turns out it does not really do anything to your camera. But whilst using it, it is really good.
I have been trying most applications of the ML that I need to use, works a treat. If it does lock up the camera, (I have not had that problem) just turn off and take battery out if need be the case.
Try it if you can.

Peter

Thanks Peter. Since the 7D doesn't have an official "stable release" which version should I try? 2.3?

Download one of the nightly builds here (http://builds.magiclantern.fm/#/ (external link)).

The normal builds will not work on a 7D.

Always a risk. How big? Don't know but I put ML on my 5DIII as soon as I got the camera knowing I could not remove it at the time. Have a look at the ML forums and see if you can find one example of someone who actually permanently bricked their camera. I don't think you will.

But just like the ML team, I'm not going to send you a new camera if you do manage to brick it.
