It's Minnesota and spring hasn't come yet but they needed them to send out the save the dates so I was kind of limited (i.e. brown snow, bare trees and sopping wet brown ugly grass and mud). Here are a few I like with the rest on flickr at the link below.

I would love some C&C.

I think your subjects look very happy and comfortable.. Well done.

However, the post behind the guy in the last one is somewhat awkward. I would clone it out. I think 4 is my favorite from this set you've shown.

Thanks. As far as the reflection goes it got a little sketchy further down with mud and snow and stuff and it also made it a very tall and narrow image. I agree with the pole comment I just didn't even notice.

Looks good for what you had to work with! I kinda like the more minimal feel of the background. Was there any significance to the location?

Nope just a close location by the Mississippi and Downtown. Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks.

They were processed in Lightroom. I didn't do too much to them just exposure/shadows/highlights etc.

I shot them with a 60D and 5d Classic mostly using an 85 1.8. The funny thing is the ones I like most were shot with the 5Dc not my 60D.

The EXIF info is on the images if you go to my flicker page.

Great interaction between them and they both look pretty comfortable. That's not always easy to do.

As for critique: I'd say that the background choice for the first two shots is really lacking--surely there was something a little less 'suburban condo' to put in the background. The shots also seem a little bit cool to me color-balance-wise. In #3, the ring is the focus, so simplify the scene a little by clearing up her skin on her neck area--if they're birthmarks / freckles, I'd clone them at some opacity so they're only barely visible on inspection; if it's just a breakout, they're gone from the image.

Thanks for the advice. As far as the background goes I didn't have much option is it is in downtown Minneapolis and with the sun where I wanted it that was the background available. We got 6 inches of snow today (April 4) so my choice of location is limited as there are no leaves and no green grass and mud/dirt/melting snow everywhere.

I want them to do this again a little later when I can get a little more variety. I see what you mean about the neck though - didn't even notice it.
