This will be my second trip to Scotland, and I was hoping some Scots or fellow travelers here would share some locations I would not otherwise find. For instance, in Ireland and Wales, I was able to find some abandoned estates, mines, ruined buildings, and just all-around odd or remote places. I'm not an Urb Exer kid looking to break into and spray paint buildings, I just have an affinity for very old, lost or undiscovered places.

I'll be going in July and, after Edinburgh, will be exploring Skye and the Highlands.

Edinburgh has a mini "wild west" alley you could check out.
