Has anyone tried this? If so please state is yours the new Class 10 Mk2 or the original Class 6 Mk1.
If so does the card get warm?
I ask this, as I did try one of the earlier MkI class 6 FlashAirs on a 7D. But sent it back immediately as the card started to get warm after 2 mins!
But as the 7D didn't have an SD slot I had to use a CF to SD converter jacket card. So I am not sure if that Jacket converter itself was getting hot, or by just having an extra metal clad jacket it made it impossible to dissipate any warmth , or wether the extra metal clad jacket made the card work overtime to boost the transmission power to overcome the signal loss of an extra jacket and an alloy body ( a bit like the old Cell phones that got warm in poor coverage areas as they boosted the power and fried your ear ).
What transmission distance do you get?
Please state was that with an Alloy bodied DSLR such as the 5D3, or a plastic bodied other camera with an SD slot.
Anyone use it to link to An iPad Air ( latest one ) or iPhone 5 or 5s?
I saw some posts saying the iphone app was flaky - does it work for you?
Some say the Photosynch App works, have you tried this?
Please note I understand their is support for the Eye-Fi card in the 5D3 , but do not like the way you have to upload all the pictures to Eye-Fi over s network, and have a wireless network there ( re remote location usage).
I prefer the "instant HotSpot" concept of the FlashAir, ie no wifi network is needed for remote use.
Plus Toshiba is a good brand - build quality etc. and cost! £33 for a class 10 card is very reasonable.
Finally do you know if this mk II uses a g or n wireless netork speed, the old Mk I was g.
