At approx 3mm in length and with their yellow green colouring these Rose Leafhoppers (Edwardsiana rosae) were difficult to spot while sitting on a Hydrangea leaf.
I rather like the pearlescent sheen on the pale yellowish green wing on this Leafhopper.
Managed to capture this Leafhopper with its wings just beginning to open at the moment just before flying off. These Leafhoppers were easily startled and either comically walked sideways and disappeared to the other side of the leaf or else fluttered away.
