I swear the evil computer sprites are having their Olympics with me & my iMac recently! Suddenly now, my last session I inported through Photo Mechanic, all my portrait oriented shots are showing up sideways. I checked in Bridge & they're like that there, also. Any ideas? I did just get my camera back from Canon Professional Services so I'm wondering if they set something that's done this...??

You're talking about one of your 5D bodies?

Canon service departments do have a way of resetting menu items and such, so check your menu Auto Rotate setting!

Almost guaranteed to be the issue; svc always resets custom settings, etc. So, you'll need to go reconfigure anything you normally take off of defaults.

You probably want to go back and look at all your custom settings. I had to enable micro adjust and my back button focus and other preferences after I got my camera back from servicing. Its funny the settings were stored for my various lenses but the micro adjust was turned off.

Yes, my 5D MKIII. The Auto Rotate is on, at least it is now, I couldn't swear I didn't maybe change it back sometime after the session, lol. Thanks!

Not yet. I've had an on-going issue with my camera ( see thread Here https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1369564 ) that popped up again yesterday so I'm trying to get that addressed before moving on. HOWEVER - a post I submitted on the Photo Mechanincs forum (which is the program I use for importing & culling) has revealed that this is a bug from the new update :-) So now we know!
