Really Really REALLY Kind of Fed Up With CPS

Update: the tech called me yesterday & I was expecting to be put through this whole shooting experiment - he was very nice, asked some basic "Let me confirm some information with you " questions, opened the image file he'd been given (the horrendous pink one you all saw) & said, "Wow. That's a pink image." Lol. Yeah. Then he asked what mode I shoot in, what WB I usually use, & if there was any kind of pattern to when these images appear that I had noticed. Then he said, "Well I've never seen anything like this, and based on the infromation I'm going to recommend a replacement." HURRAY!! So I'm waiting today to get the official call. Thank God. it only took 7 months to get this probelm resolved

Hmm, that's a loaded question I'm satisfied with their conclusion to replace the camera, but I'm still very dissatisfied that it took so long & that they made me go through so much to get them to come to the right conclusion. I let them know in their survey I was sent. As far as the demeanor & attitude of their reps - no complaints; they were friendly, professional, eager to BE helpful, it seemed, just not having the authority to really cut to the chase.

Hopefully by this coming Wed. I ad to delay sending my defective MKIII until after this weekend because I have a long wedding day tomorrow & at least want to have it as a backup.

This is taking a looooong time. Kinda makes one wonder if CPS is worth it.

Yes, the replacement came yesterday morning. Seems perfect. All in all I am glad to be a member of CPS, they did give me a loaner when I needed it. But may look into a 3rd party warranty..

In 3 months, we're going to have a newly registered user in this very forum start complaining about crazy un-correctable color casts on their images from a canon body they bought on a refurbished sale. FOUND IT!!

What CPS location were you using? Newport News? They've been nothing but fantastic to us...
