Made these over the past few days, wish I had a little bit more time as the sun is shining nicely. All made with 600d and 100mm macro.

#1. Green shield bug (Palomena prasina L.)

I really wished he was sitting still for only a few seconds but he was hyperactive ;(

#4. Fire bug (Pyrrhocoris apterus L.)

Lovely series Frank - esp like the bee fly. Also jealous of the last 2 shots- not a wasp but a nomada bee, I've not seen any yet this year.

A really lovely set of pics. Gorgeous Bee-fly shot.

Those Ruby tail wasps are always on the go and so difficult to get pics of. I had a really fresh one in my garden 2 weeks ago but no chance of a pic.

I have been having the same trouble with lack of time to take pics just lately but hope to get back to normal with more pics now.

Wonderful selection Frank, I love them all but the Ruby-tailed wasp is a great find. I have only ever seen one of these once.
