Im having a hard debating which lens to get, I really prefer a 3 kit lens, and honestly I could keep both but it just doesnt seem to make a lot of sense, maybe an overkill. I've thought of situations where I could use both, but I think thats just me being a lens whore.

Im selling off my 85mm Cine lens for a 100mm f/2.8L and really want to close that gap.

I have a 60D btw. I was looking at 17-55 | 18-35 | 100mm

or 10mm | 17-55| 100mm

Do you think keeping both is an overkill?

Yes, I think it's overkill prima facie. What subject matter do you enjoy photographing?

Honestly I'm more so into video which is why the 18-35 was my initial choice, but I've told my self that on my lunch hour I will go out and get better at street photography, and the 18-35 is all I really have as the 85mm Cine is awful at focusing until you snap the picture.

So pretty much street photography, few low budget photo shoots as well.

Yes! The 18-35 is already great for what you want to do.

I don't think the 17-55 will close the gap very well with your 100mm. A 24-105 IS will close it so much better and is image stabilized for your video purposes. What is your budget?

Well the 24-105 I have had that lens before and I wasn't very impressed, the 17-55 is essentially a 25-85mm on a crop sensor, so almost equivalent to a 24-70

If you want a zoom get the 17-55mm It is great! Has IS, wider than the 24-105mm on your camera. And f2.8 > f4.0
If you seek to fill a gap, try the 40mm stm, it is much wider, STM, and low priced with great quality.

Odd there is 2 threads of the same thing going on, Im prob going to stick with my 18-35 and probably just go with a 4 kit lens.

You will like the 100L a lot, Its got IS, macro and good for portraits too.
I have not used the 18-35mm at all, but I took the 17-55mm len to Kyoto last year and it lived on my camera all summer.
