This woman has an impressive body of work. Sad ending in Afghanistan.

Some folks are willing to put themselves in the middle of hell. A hell some people live every day. We must honor those who are willing to risk their lives to give the people a voice that would not ordinary be heard given their circumstance. You can bet there are some people who grieve greatly over her loss, and posthumously the lives of those who have died while working for AP. It's not a career for the meek but it must be absolutely riveting in terms of access and story telling. Salute the fallen. Celebrate their life work.
