Very nice. Those Blue Angel pilots sure know how to fly.

I was there as well and wish we could have met up...your shots are WAY better than mine and I thought I got some good ones! The light wasn't great for me most of the time with the sun ducking behind the clouds giving me some muddy exposures. I shot with the same lens and a 5D mk iii but don't think I got as great as series as you did!

Thanks for the kind words. I was on the camera settings all day long with the flip flop between jet and prop aircraft with changing light.

Yeah I had the same problems...but I shot the prop jobs with too fast a shutter and froze all the props so they almost look deadstick......dummy mistakes, but hey I don't usually shoot aircraft in flight...or anything in flight for that matter!
So, I just browsed your catalog of shots from this event and I agree that there are a lot more fantastic shots there as well....I appears that you were on the other side of the fence from where I was, so i feel a little better about my pics. Were you on a tower or shooting from the ground.....or both??

I was in the photographers preferred seating area. Cost $30.00 plus cost of gate ticket.

Looks like it was money well spent....the ground behind the fence is not a very good vantage point. I will make the investment next year!
