Post your Brenizer / Bokeh Panorama Portrait here

Hey guys, I thought that we could use a thread dedicated to bokeh panorama, aka the Brenizer method. I've had a lot of fun with this method recently. While obviously, my images aren't going to be anywhere as good as Ryan Brenizer's, I think we all can learn, and get a little more experience with this technique. IMHO, it works great for environmental portraits, and those trying to distinguish themselves from their competitors would be well served having this in their arsenal.

So to start it off, here's a shot from the Coliseum... Yes in Rome . I have more at home, but our family is in the middle of a Mediterranean cruise

This is shot with Canon 6D and Tamron 70-200VC at 3.2, about 30 shots or so

This is a cool photo. I am still confused about the process. How do you take 30 photos of a group. Who took the photos if you are in them? You are correct in your statement that this would be a great unique technique.

Basically you take a photo, closer up to the subject, then take a bunch of other shots all around the subject without changing focus or exposure. So it becomes a wide angle shot with the nice bokeh of a closer, portrait shot.

The only thing I have that even remotely fits the bill (and I could have done a much better job of this - call it a lazy Brenzier). lol

I haven't experimented with this very much, but this is one I shot with a 135mm on a crop body.

Gonna have to read up on this technique again. Great examples all!

I had on a tripod. Basically the frame size is about the size of a full length shot. Then, I just jumped in and have my daughter shoot me.

The most important thing of course is to keep your focus, exposure, and white balance the same.

Great examples everyone. I should try doing landscape that way as well

Love this shot. We're you standing on a ladder? If so, great job on getting the panorama without screwing up the straight lines. I find that those are the hardest to keep straight (no pun intended ).

I've shot with 177mm on the Tamron. I think 85 is a great length for people for sure

The height of the shot has been mentioned elsewhere also, I'm 6'6" and need to learn to bend down more

Got a couple more shots that day which I intended to stitch but they wouldn't fit stitch together, presumably due to the height of the shot.

I find that using a tripod is more reliable when trying to get these images to stitch together. For better or worse family pictures force me to do that as there's no other photographer around that I think could pull this off during our travel
