If I have a whole folder full of pics, taken with various Lenses, can I make Camera Raw automatically adjust the Lens Profile?

Of course I want it to adjust every picture by it self, according to the lens used on the specific image?

(This is to be able to quickly convert to JPEG for backup while travelling for example)

So far the only thing I have found are you can create presets in both ACR and LR. Great if you never change the lens - I think. I have not tested this yet but I think you would have to highlight all the images taken with one lens and apply the preset for that lens and then highlight the others and repeat. Still looking as it would be nice to have that feature.

Yes you can. Go to the Lens Corrections tab and check Enable Lens Profile Corrections. It's a little bit of a pain to set it up the first time, but after that it's automatic.

Help File (external link)

I have ACR set up to apply different presets for each body and several commonly used ISO values automatically as well.

Might be in here.

You can save the lens profile but the camera model is not listed - only Canon.

You can create custom camera defaults but it does not show that lens correction is included.

It appears that I have to go into each file and enable the the lens correction and CA? Like I said before I can just highlight all the files and sync them. There must be another step I'm missing.

Are you talking LR or ACR?

OK I just imported 6 files, 3 with a 24-70 and 3 with a 70-200. I enabled lens correction and CA, selected all and then synced. Worked great. Thanks. I should have thought of that earlier. I'll create a preset just to save a few steps.

It's been a while since I've set mine up in ACR. Seems like I had to bring in a shot from each lens and then follow the instructions in the Help file I linked in post #3.

LR for now but as you can see I think I've sorted it out.

Yeah, I know nothing about LR other than what I pick up around here. ;) It's a little different to set up automatically in ACR.

I have been thinking about this for a while. I'd like to set up custom camera profiles for noise, etc and now combine lens corrections. I guess this is a good a time as any.

I'll do ACR next. I only have a few images at a time go through ACR so it is not too bad. LR see multiple files go through in a folder.

Setting up noise correction and such is experimenting but their must be some user defaults available for and average ISO per camera type.

Yep, no time like the present they say. :) I've got defaults set for each body at the main ISO's and set the lens default profile for each lens as well. It took a little while to get it all set up, but now it's all automatic no matter which body, ISO, or lens I use.

I just took normal images at each ISO and went in and played around until I was happy with the settings, then saved as default. I mainly looked at the noise and sharpening settings. Of course, sometimes I still have to tweak a little.
