Prothonotary Warbler (Protonotaria citrea)

The name "Prothonotary" refers to clerks in the Roman Catholic church, whose robes were bright yellow.

Great shots Dolan. My favorite Warbler here in the deep south. I always listen for them in the spring around the wetlands and swamps.

You've outdone yourself with these, Dolan. I don't recall seeing them posted here before. It's one I don't get in our neck of the woods, though they are in SE MN. Well done and interesting info on the origin of the name.
