So it turns out I imported into lightroom from aperture and I guess Lightroom messed it up because I did it again and it now shows the correct lens. It's def a lighroom glitch

when I look at lens model it says 50mm but focal length 85, what happens when you view the exif of the RAW file?

I'll check when I get home on Lightroom and aperture.

On flickr, Everything looks right Exocet for the lens model, do you know what would cause that? Is it the camera? Does it mean something is wrong w it?

Yes that's all correct except for the lens model it says the 50mm 1.4. The problem is that it says focal length 85mm but the lens is a 50mm which is impossible

I see no lens model in the data. Am I missing something?

I am thinking flickr might be misreading the exif. I downloaded the photo in original size and did not see any lens info either.

Flickr reports the following like you indicated

What brand is the 85 mm lens? If its not Canon, you will get all sorts of strange exif data

It's the canon 85, if you click the link it shows the canon 50 1.4

I'm 99% certain it wont be a camera fault, just a little glitch in the Matrix at Flickrs end

Who cares what Flickr says. We are telling you what the Exif shows. Flickr strips the Exif unless you download the photo...

Open the image in Canon's Digital Photo Professional and see what it says there instead.
