Spoke with B&H and their next shipment will be May 7th. The waiting continues....

Now on May 7th...

I called BH this morning. I was told by a rep that Sigma has informed BH that there is no shipping date available.

B&H reps love to give customers information!

Too bad it seems like it's just to get people off the phone.

Here a a couple sample shots from my copy that arrived today. First impressions is great build and the focus ring is really nice. Sharp images SOOC as well. Overall, Sigma did a awesome job with this lens.

What a let down... D-Day +1... No new info. Lame of B&H to arbitrarily make up a 2nd batch release date. Makes me think 450 lens shipment is false too. I was prepared to wait for the lens, but all this misinformation is aggravating. All the sample shots look sweet though! Keep 'em coming!

ps... personally, I think mariosworld is having fun rubbing it in

Yeah, they said mine would ship this week, but the week isn't over quite yet. I was getting a little frustrated when lenses seemed to be shipping again after the first batch, but there could have been a couple lenses that the card didn't process or whatever, so they took the next ones. It doesn't seem like a bunch are shipping anywhere, so B&H aren't necessarily the villain. If it makes you feel better, imagine how long people that are just now ordering will be waiting. As much as I want it now, I really just hope I get it in a couple weeks, got a shoot I wanna use it for.

What I have learned from this lens so far is I hate waiting. Wish Sigma would speed things up. I feel like a kid waiting for Santa to come and it's only December 5th.
