I recently discovered how to update my import default develop settings in Lightroom 5.

I was just curious if anyone else has discovered you can do this. I thought it would be cool if everyone contributed and provided their custom changes to the develop module default settings.

Mine are the following changes:

Sharpen amount +70
Luminesence noise +10
Color noise +10
Saturation +5
Vibrancy +10

What has everyone else done to customize their development module settings at default when they import new files?

Defaults can be specific to the ISO used or to a camera, so I have a bunch of different Sharpening/NR/Clarity defaults for different ISOs and according to whether the file is from my 5D2 or 40D. Also, all the defaults set a home-made camera profile and because I frequently use a Uni-WB custom WB setting, Auto WB instead of As Shot.

Ohh, I figured out that it links to the camera model, but how do you link it to ISO?

I forgot to add that I have a default of +5 to sharpness masking.

Preferences/Presets/"Make defaults specific to camera serial number" or "Make defaults specific to camera ISO setting". User defaults are specific to the camera model automatically, but the first of the Preference settings allows you to make different default sets if you have multiple units of the same model.

This is a great tip! Thank you!

That's awesome.

This is what I use along with Jeffrey Friedl's excellent Bulk Develop (external link) plugin.
