I really, really, really want Sigma to do an updated "art" FF UWA option... 12-24, 14-24, 14 f/2.8, 12-18 f/4,... Something!

I actually think your on to something. Their 12-24 is not half bad. IF they did an ART update to it and made the lens optically better then they would have a very nice addition.

I'm curious to see how the next 4 years turns out for Sigma. They seem to be really hitting it out of the park lately.

dont care for an ultrawide, already good options out, like the 14 samyang, and 17tse, though would be nice for more affordable options.

gimme the 135F1.8 OS..... The canon is great and all, but it desperately needs IS.

Agree. Very very happy with my S85. IF they update it I suspect it will be just like the 120-300. They will put a new body on to match the 35/50 and they will make it dock compatible but optics will be left alone.

you dont think they will update the optical formula to do like what they did with the S50 vs the S50A? That seems like the logical next step. Although I have no idea regarding the current S85's optical formula is or what they could do to a new Art series 85...

The current Sig85 optics are very very good. On par with the 85L.

They took the 120-300 and made a sport version and didn't touch the optics on it. It's optics are great.

Looks like I was right. Put this down as my one and only time I was spot on.

Meh. I hope they refresh the 85mm and drop a 135mm on us next. Both of those with Sigma's new commitment to redefining the upper end of sharpness and the new focusing tech and the paradigm shift will have all the ingredients it needs.

This lens will probably be an awesome 24mm for those who find this type of thing exciting.

Oh yeah, that'd be nice. But so would an upgraded 24-70/2.8 (doesn't need to be the f/2.0 of the 2014 rumours), ultrawide zoom or ~135mm/2.0
