The game will last 6 days and whoever can produce the best edited image (as judged by me) will be picked and it'll be their turn to post their unedited picture for all of us to take a crack at.

The participants must have their "Image Editing OK" turned on and they must provide at least a simple breakdown of how they edited the image, some entrants are a little vague on this point, please give us all details so we can learn and share tips. For instance if you use the unsharp mask tool or Smart Sharpen, provide us with the adjustments you used so others can try them out.

You can post multiple images, but the first image you post will be the one that is judged - all other images will be considered for knowledge and tip use only. Feel free to comment and/or ask questions at any time. This is a good competition for learning new methods, so let's make it a bit more dynamic. I will be judging edits, not comments. Feel free to comment on the original image as well.
If you happen to be the winner of the game please start the next one with the title of the game and the following number. For example…the next game should read "Before & After #516".

This one will be a quick one because of the Easter Holiday. Submissions end, Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 1:30ish pm (EST) and a winner will be announced.

Cropped and straightened
Used Lucis Art Wythen at 40%
Converted to b&w.
Added car from previous b&a (sorry about the damage Douglas :-)
Added some more contrast via Nik tonal contrast settings at 30%
Used low key in NIK to give it a darker mood.
Finally added a slight sepia tone to the image.

Crop and level.
edit: Duplicated background layer and used a blend mode(I can't remember which one), made it a little darker.
Found graffiti, added to new layers.
Set layer blend modes to overlay at 40% opacity.

I thought the house should be the focus of the scene so...

I cut the house out of the scene, darkened it with a curves and levels layer, then lowered the saturation and vibrancy. Then I found a wooded scene I liked and made it as dark as I could without losing all the detail. I masked the house into the scene, ran the results through a B&W filter and added just a touch of grunge to make it all flow correctly.

So there were only (3) submissions but I have no idea how to decide between them.

frenchfx:
You automatically get bonus points for using part of a previous contest in your composition. Love the post processing as well. Really just an excellent submission.

Douglas: Your graffiti is very believable for me. I just keep looking at it to see if I can find something that doesn't look legit. Maybe at a larger resolution I could find something to be critical of but it looks incredible. Very impressive work.

Vetteography:
I didn't expect that someone would take the house and put it into another environment. You achieved that perfect horror movie look for this image. Very creative and well done.

I believe that all three images are fairly equal so to call one a winner is not really fair. I pick Vetteography to host the next competition. Congratulations.

Thanks,

Aaron

Agreed, tough call. Frenchie, the truck addition was an awesome idea and superbly done.

Douglas, perfect graffiti. Very nicely done.

And Vetteography, on first seeing your pics I got chills and thought, "How cool is that?" Very spooky.

I really wanted to jump into this one but I've been swamped at work. Well done all around, though.
