Hi, im looking for a canon 24-105 in the usa so i checked in b&h and amazon and they sell it for an insane price - 1150$ and i have no idea why the price is so high.
Does anyone know where i can get it for a normal price?

White box meaning it was originally the kit lens for a 6D or something similar and was separated from the body. I don't know the rules about posting links, but it should not be hard to find. I got mine off Ebay and it appeared that the seller I got it from had many available.

Apr 12, 2014 16:45 | #3 That is the normal price for new at least. If you check your local Craigslist it will drop a bit in the used market. I have seen it much less new, but from retailers I would consider questionable. Check the Canon USA refurbished site and Adorama too for refurbs. That may be the best way to go. Last year Canon had a great rebate offer for camera, lens, and printer combo. The 24-105 was in the package I bought. I didn't want the lens, but got it just to get a good price on the camera and printer. I sold the never used lens on ebay for $600. When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.

Occasionally "gray" market lenses are offered and they may present warranty issues in the States. http://www.ebay.com …337f1eb158#ht_1678wt_1312

"Seller charges sales tax for items shipped to: NY(8.875%)." If you are referring to my $665 number above, I can't answer your question except to say go through the steps on eBay to purchase and see if tax is in the bottom line. The alternative is to ask the seller if he has to do tax since the State where purchased is Massachusetts.
