What's the expected deliverable these days?

So back in the days of SD I used to shoot a lot of videography with a Panny DVX-100 and I had a solid work-flow ending in a DVD deliverable. I just geared up to shoot shows with my 5D MkIII and an Atomos Ninja Blade and realized I'm not sure if there's a default deliverable format for HD these days! Blue-Ray? Just send a file? Throw it on Vimeo/YouTube? Is there a standard expected format for HD?

Thanks!

Well, obviously.

But right now I'm upgrading my workflow for HD and I'm wondering what's expected? For instance, when I started doing SD I was copying out to VHS. Then DVDs became the norm and I knew I had to get a DVD burner (back before such things were included). What is the norm now?

My default is HD Video 1920 by 1080, Sony AVC MP4, 10Mb on a flash drive or uploaded to my Vimeo account.

What is the client going to be using the video for?

Most clients get a digitally delivered file that's suitable for posting on their video hosting account (Youtube, Vimeo, etc) or playing right from the computer.
Sometimes we temporarily get rights to their channel so we can post it for them. I greatly prefer to leave this to their website creator or social media manager, though.
Some clients get a standard DVD ready to play in any consumer DVD player.
For broadcast, some stations may still expect a tape.

Thanks, Nathan! I should have been more specific -- this is for non-broadcast purpose, probably archival and for use on the internet. I knew the question was fairly vague, but I wanted to see what people were doing these days. I appreciate your input!

Even file formats that clients ask for can vary greatly! My "standard" delivery method is dropbox and I give them a high resolution "master" file such as a Prores 422. They get a file with very little compression (if any) and are free to re-compress or encode it however they see fit. If they do not have the ability to do so, then I charge them for each file format that they want in addition to the master. Just like the old days!
