Did a little free lance video about Red Bull Art exhibit, I didnt have any equipment or stabilizer, just my 60D and Sigma 18-35. It was pretty crowded so a lot of the shots got ruined, but still was able to make this. Ignore the green render flash towards the end, just need to reupload but wanted opinions first.

Overall I like it. I don't know the first thing about video making, but the subject has taken on a new fascination for me recently.

The one thing that really stuck out is that you had a LOT of fast pans in that video. The problem for me is that going that fast doesn't allow the viewer to actually see much. You can't pick out details to make a particular scene make sense if the camera is swinging that fast. You get a sense of movement, but without purpose, if that makes sense. Movement for movements sake.

I would have liked to see a little wider angle when you panned the art as well. Seeing only a small slice of a piece makes it feel disjointed. A couple of them, fine, but you did that with a lot of them. I am guessing it was crowded and you were having a hard time getting those wider shots without people being in the way?

The use of the backwards video at the end was really cool and if you had ended it there, it would have been perfect. The tail end would still be ok if you dimmed the video and used that outside crowd as the backdrop for credits etc.

Anyway, my $0.02

Appreciate it, I actually didn't know I was going to the event, I only had my 18-35 and I couldnt get any shot of the art unless I was against the wall, which sucked. everytime I tried to step back someone just stepped up. The pans were fast, they were all camera based tho, no stabilizer or monopod or anything, again just tried to be quick, when I noticed a whole I just went for it. Do appreciate the feedback tho, I learn everytime I do a video and go home to edit it, Im like ahhhh I shouldve done this, so that will at least help me grow.

Looks good, but the music feels REALLY out of place over that footage to me.
