Hey all,

I am wondering, if you upgrade from elements to CS2 under the canon offer, do you receive a full version of CS2 or do you just get a patch to upgrade?

And also; Is it upgradeable in the future (ie. PS10), or just a one time deal? Is there a hardcopy disk provided?

Maybe these were questions that have been asked before, but I didn't know where to search, sorry.

Thanks,
Travis

It probably depends. I did the Wacom tablet Elements to CS upgrade (buy an Intuous III 6x8 tablet, and upgrade the bundled Elements to Phoshop CS for $299), and that came with a full version of Photoshop CS, including manual, CD, and training video. I have since upgraded that to Creative Suite CS2 (which is the upgrade edition--must have CS installed for the upgrade to load).

I think that Adobe has an Elements to CS2 upgrade for $500, but I don't know if that is a full version of CS2 or an upgrade version. If you're not doing the Wacom upgrade, perhaps some else who has done the direct Elements to CS2 upgrade can comment...

I pulled the trigger on the $299 upgrade offer from PSE2 to CS2 (available through a purchase of the 20D) in December. They sent out a full box version.
