Experimenting with night photography

So I went out twice this week and got some night photos....I had never done anything quite this interesting before (besides some star photography) and finally got my head out of my rear and realized: Who cares if the stars are streaking!!!!!

So here are the first photos I've taken at night with my 30mm F1.4 siggy. Also these are the first photos that I shot w/o care of how long I was exposing, as long as I got the shot. I hope you guys enjoy these and I would LOVE critique

I think the first one is excellent. Great composition and the dynamic clouds make for a compelling photo. And I agree, the oblong stars aren't distracting at all (actually, after looking at it a bit more, I think it would be stronger without the stars, but I still really like it overall).

Yeh on a quick take the stars aren't too annoying, but when you really look at them and notice all of them, they are kind of off. I'm glad you like the photo
