not easy to capture ants (they don't stop for 1 second), but that one looks sharp :) light reflection on his head is a bit harsh, some work can be done on the diffuser but the subject seems highly reflective. DOF covers the essential, bokeh is harsh but I guess you would need a dedicated macro lens for better results.

composition wise you have room for improvements, but they aren't bad.

yep I deffo need a dedicated macro lens but the extension tubes are good enough for now, need a win on the lottery though, lol

Here is my critique=awesome! Love the 'day in the life' aspect captured of the working ants. I had my hopes bug season was getting close with a high near 77F two days ago but for the next week we're back in the 30s with 20s tonight :(

You had me very concerned for a minute, the topic title had me trying to visualise Ants cementing Shield Bugs together with their larvae. :confused: Why would they want to do that? :rolleyes:
