post any homemade photography equiptment here. i wuld love to see it. i just made a a 28x18 softbox for my flash, works well, will post pictures soon!


30mm, 50mm, 85mm, and some zooms here and there.
All nikon :D

Here's a portable reflector that I made two of. I will either use the fold-up auto windshield shade (shown) or a piece of foamcore with this reflector support design. The design isn't too good for outdoor use in any sort of breeze, but these reflectors let me do some neat tabletop work when I only had one flash unit.

The parts that I made (from Oak and aluminum) attach to cheap 6-foot Smith-Victor light stands with 3/8" diameter top sections.

I have several but my most useful is the last on the above page. The idea is to move the light that comes out too high down to where it is more useful for macro and diffuse it at the same time. It provides more front light than the one above it and is much easier to carry around in the field for hand held bugs and flowers.
