hi guys, i was looking for some feedback on what you guys are using, for 10 years now i have had a old tiltall tripod its way to heavy to hall around and it stays in my living room most of the time,as i would like to get out in the woods more this year to take photos of landscapes by the sea big sir things like that,i think its time for a new tripod and my question is what would be the best for my needs ! im looking at the induro carbon fibber ones about 2.1 lbs with one of there ball heads seems like it would pack light, although gitzo's are real nice to but sort of out of my price rang as far as carbon fiber go's,im just looking to see what people are using these days! thank you .

I've been using an induro carbon tripod for years now. I love it, I use an acratech head tho and couldn't be happier.

Rock solid, the twist locks are super tight, I've never had it collapse.

I regularly use a rubinar 1000mm f/10 mirror lens for astrophotography and it really keeps vibrations to a minimum. No issues for me whatsoever.

thanks, im thinking ill go with the induro ct-014 8x with one of there larger ball heads as it seems it would fit my needs best of all, about 1/2 the price of a gitzo setup in carbon fiber, probity it will last me a lifetime i hear lots of good things about the induro brand of tripods.

I've been using the Gitzo 1541T Tripod, Markins Q3T Ballhead w/ RRS B2 LR II Clamp combo for 3-4 years now.
