The second is a much stronger shot due to the viewing location. If you would get track side and down the track a little bit, that angle would be fantastic for undercarriage and side by side car shots. Name is Ron.

If you're unsure about being able to keep the car in the frame at the start, then shoot a little wider angle & crop in afterwards. FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...
