I was very lucky to catch the action.
The sad thing is I ran out of skills, using full flash on a black subject just doesn’t look good. (as you may see below)
Any tips on how to handle the situation? HSS? I resolved to using ISO 12800 under natural light in the shades.

one way to get more background is to use the flash as a fill light, use ISO 200-400 around F10
nice macro set up, however you should add a diffuser to your flash
