First outing with my new 100-400m lens. Historics at Thruxton, more practice required but seemed half decent with my 7D

Thanks

Nice set, I rented a 100-400 few weeks back at BTCC Brands Hatch, and loved it, took bit of getting used to with the pushrod zoom.

Nope, no press pass, not sure they would have any left, never seen so many media vests:rolleyes:

stood up against the fence at the chicane by the stands, suprised not to see more pics from the day TBH the place was full of lenses:D

Was very lucky and a tad skillfull getting this back to the pits

so its a good open circuit to shoot at?
i visit silverstone from time to time, but theres not that many good vantage points, just miles of fencing.

It was my first visit and TBH I wasn't expecting much. However the vanatge points although only a few were pretty good. Best one being a small area near the stands on the last chicane before finish line. Low fencing and directly opposite the chicane. But it gets full of peeps with lenses:rolleyes:

Nice set. Like #2 the best with the Cortina on two wheels in the background. Lens seems to perform very well.

I was also there trying out my new (to me) 7D and must have been near you at the chicane. Will get myself organised and post some shots. As you say a few decent spots but can get a little busy.

Good meeting though with some great machinery.

Steve
